Mission brief

Space Cowboy is a one-of-a-kind Broken Bow cabin where the Wild West meets outer space — a neon cowboy mural and spiral staircase at the door, galaxy-painted ceilings overhead, and a glowing geodesic dome suite out on the deck.

Built for families and big groups who want more than a hot tub: an arcade hall, pool table, private pickleball court, putt-putt, a ninja course, barrel sauna, and ATV trails that run straight from the property into the Ouachita National Forest. Broken Bow Lake, Beavers Bend State Park and the Hochatown strip are about 15 minutes away.

A true geodesic dome suite off the upper deck: king bed, starry “to the moon” headboard, smart TV, and treetop views through the dome windows. Fall asleep in the stars, wake up in the pines.

Your own observatory

A telescope waits by the window and on the observatory deck. North Hochatown sits far from city light — on clear nights the Milky Way shows up for the party.

Fireplace + rain shower

An electric fireplace for cool nights and a private full bathroom with a rain shower, so the dome works as its own suite.

Coffee & cocktail station

Morning coffee or a nightcap without leaving the dome. Full AC and heat year-round — it's a luxury tent structure, so on the most extreme days it won't hold temperature quite like the cabin.

Module 04 — Ground ops

ATV trails
from the door.

No trailering. The property connects to forest routes into the Ouachita National Forest — ride out after breakfast, back for the hot tub by sunset.

  • Bring your own, or rent in Hochatown (Bandits ATV & Boat Rental, Captain's Hideaway Powersports, Broken Bow Slingshots)
  • Trail guide and route map waiting in the cabin
  • Room to park trailers and side-by-sides in the driveway

Riders must stay on MVUM-designated routes and follow Oklahoma OHV laws. Helmets required under 18. No riding on county or paved roads, lawns or landscaped areas. Riding is at your own risk.

Where is Space Cowboy Cabin?

In North Hochatown near Broken Bow, Oklahoma, bordering the Ouachita National Forest — about 15 minutes north of the Hochatown strip on US-259, Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park. Your exact address and directions are sent after booking.

How many guests does it sleep?

Up to 12 registered guests: two king suites, a full-over-full bunk space, a twin-bed starry loft and the king dome suite — 5 sleeping spaces and 3.5 baths.

What's the stargazing dome like?

A geodesic glamping dome on the upper deck with a king bed, private full bathroom with rain shower, electric fireplace, smart TV, coffee and cocktail station and a telescope. Full AC and heat — as a luxury tent structure it may not hold temperature exactly like the cabin on extreme-weather days.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes — up to 2 dogs when added to your reservation in advance. Keep pups off the furniture, please. Any pet fee is included in the total you see before paying.

Can we ride ATVs from the cabin?

Yes. Ride from the property on MVUM-designated forest routes only. Helmets are required under 18, and riding on county or paved roads is prohibited. Bring your own or rent in Hochatown.

Check-in and check-out?

Self check-in at 4:00 PM, check-out at 10:00 AM Central. One keypad code opens the cabin and the dome. Our cleaning crew follows right behind, so we can't offer early check-in or late check-out.

Wi-Fi and cell service?

Cell service is spotty in North Hochatown, but Starlink Wi-Fi covers the cabin and the dome has its own extender. Download offline maps before the drive.

Is the cabin accessible?

The main floor (kitchen, living room, bar, game space) is accessible from the front entry, but every sleeping space is reached by spiral staircase, so the cabin isn't a fit for guests who can't climb stairs. Ask us anything before you book.

Taxes, fees and cancellations?

Your total — including cleaning and any pet fee — is shown before you pay, with Oklahoma and local lodging and sales taxes itemized. The cancellation policy for your dates is shown in the booking engine before checkout.

Anything else to know?
  • Smoke-free inside the cabin and dome; outdoor smoking at the fire pit only.
  • Two exterior security cameras (front door and driveway). No interior cameras.
  • Septic system — toilet paper only.
